This page contains Scion FRS body kits and ground effects. These parts are designed to replace or mount to the existing bumpers and rockers for enhanced styling and aerodynamics, giving the vehicle a deeper look. Scion FRS Body Kits
A body kit is typically a four piece kit comprising of a bumper or front bumper lip, a rear apron or rear bumper replacement and right and left side skirts. Body kits also sometimes include or offer as an option additional parts such as wider fenders, front or rear bumper diffusers, rear spoilers or splitters. The traditional purpose of a body kit is to help direct oncoming air around, over or underneath the vehicle more efficiently than the stock set up. Many body kits include a front lip which actually pushes the front of the vehicle slightly downward at high speeds to give it more down force and cornering traction. Front lips also help to direct air outside of the wheel wells to reduce drag.

Body kits are also developed for street use as a means of giving the vehicle an enhanced styling. Often manufacturers such as Toyota will offer an in house body kit or ground effects kit as a dealer upgrade such as the TRD package shown in these photos. Several after market body kit manufacturers will be offering styling packages for vehicles. Some of our premium brands include Seibon Carbon, Wings West, VIS Racing, 3D Carbon and more.
The above photo shows a closeup of the Scion FRS TRD front lip from the TRD body kit, you can see the lips on each side of the front lip that help to increase down force on the front end giving the vehicle more traction and better handling at high speeds. The photo below shows the a rear view of the lip on the Scion FRS TRD Body Kit, you can see that on this kit the pieces are mounted to the existing bumpers to give the vehicle a deeper look without having to completely replace the bumpers.
The photo below shows a photo of the Scion FRS, Toyota FT86 TRD body kit on the track. You can see the much deeper and sportier look of the Scion FRS body compared with a stock version. This kit is both applicable for high performance use as well as for giving the vehicle an enhanced styling. As more manufacturers acquire this vehicle we look forward to seeing many Scion FRS body kit releases at the 2012 SEMA show in Las Vegas.
